Computer History Museum
The visit to the Computer History Museum was just as interesting as I had expected it to be, iwth interesting and engaging exhibition, displays of artifacts and stories. We were fortunate enoguh tho have visited the museum during the 'Revolution' exhibition, which documents the past 2000 years of Computer history.
What I have learnt
During the visit there, I focused on one particular topic, AI - Artificial Intelligence, which involved the creation and development of robots and other ariticial inteligence. I watched an educational video on this sepcifc topic during the visit, which introduced the developement of artificial inteligence and whether of not it will ever reach 'general intelligence' as Alan Turnigng had discussed. The video included explored many arguments into the different views on how AI will develope in the future and its impact on mankind, such as, whether or not it will ever reach the same level of intelligence as humans. Also the video explains how the first true test was chess and when the Deep Blue beat the world champian in the game, it was significant to show how artificial inteligence was developign and improving which hinted into the advanced future of AI.
Another interesting video introfuced us to the history of Intergrated Circuits, how the FairChild Semiconductor company, evolved from the Shockley company. The key individuals of the company includes Jay Last and Robert Noyce. The company is still, till this day, a main supllier to Samsung.
Another highlight of this trip was the Google Self-driving car, which we had a chance to see the inside of. This was a great experience to show how technolgy in our world is developing.
